Patricroft

Continuing annual Church Project, now supporting Tindall Street Allotments Community Groups, and ‘Singing With Dementia’. Mums and Toddlers Group on Thursdays in term time. Still helping to fund a new school in Klikor, Ghana, which is now open and has 178 pupils. A ‘Pathfinder Group’ has been set up to review the future of the Church.

Monton

An ‘Easter Experience’ was led for about 90 schoolchildren. Some building work can now start due to some generous donations. A new Fellowship Group for ‘Older Pilgrims’ is being piloted.

St. Paul’s

Continuing the Shawl Ministry - shawls are knitted, blessed, and given to people in times of difficulty, bereavement or celebration. New Church doors have been made using materials from Worsley Road Church, which has unfortunately closed. Poppy crocheting for WW1 commemorations.

Boundary Road

An 8-week ‘Food For Thought’ Cookery Course, Arts and Crafts, and a new Prayer and Soup Lunch scheme. Monthly coffee mornings still successful.

Glazebrook

Refurbishment of the Church Hall and ancillary rooms for use by Community groups - the only resource in the village. Monthly coffee mornings still successful.

Manchester Road

New Girls’ Brigade Group set up - 2 groups - 5 to 7, and 8 to 11 year olds. Another group has been set up - ‘Boogie Tots’. New Church member has been received, and another member led a ‘Local Arrangement’ service.

The Height

Welcomes a number of young families with children to Sunday Club and the monthly Messy Church, which attracts 25-30 people of all ages. Community lunch for Senior Citizens once a month. Shawl Ministry.

Emmanuel

Rainbow Haven - a project for refugees and asylum seekers.

Boys’ Brigade now has 3 sections. Base for 500-strong choir being formed to commemorate WW1 at Salford Quays.

Wesley

Monthly Tuesday lunches - now in their 8th. year. Encouraging increase in baptisms. The new Ceremonial Mayor of Salford is a member at Wesley. Irlam Male Voice Choir giving a concert in aid of Christian Aid.
